Subterranean caverns found beneath Dobrovolski
February 17th, 2011
While the search efforts on mining colony Dobrovolski continue, a number of scientists have flocked to a large rift revealed by the quake. Initial scans of the rift have revealed that it opens into a vast subterranean cavern which has, until now, lain undetected. Doctor Walter Simpson, leader of the reconnaissance team hastily-assembled to explore the cavern, spoke to the media earlier today saying, “I know that the situation elsewhere in the region is grim, but this quake has opened up a fascinating new side of Dobrovolski. This cave system is huge — far too large to have occurred naturally. Whatever made this, finding out could put this planet on the map as more than just an eezo mine.”
